Exercise and a balanced diet are among the most popular weight loss remedies that are recommended for people who want to address their excess body fat or weight concerns. But when those remedies cannot remove stubborn fat deposits, aesthetic providers recommend other treatments such as CoolSculpting, which utilizes fat-freezing technology.
So is CoolSculpting effective in eliminating banana rolls? Banana rolls, or the stubborn fat bulges that form under the buttocks, can indeed be eliminated with CoolSculpting. This helps patients get their ideal body shape more efficiently than by simply following an extensive exercise routine and restrictive diet.
Up to 25% Fat Reduction With CoolSculpting: Treat Yourself Today!
Weight loss treatment procedures like CoolSculpting aren’t only applicable to people who are overweight. Individuals who like to improve their body shape through body contouring methods can also have CoolSculpting to remove their stubborn fat bulges.
Even if you embrace healthy lifestyle practices, visible fat bulges still develop in the different areas of the body, particularly the inner thigh, outer thigh, and upper arm. Some examples of visible fat bulges include a muffin top and bra fat. Another example of visible fat bulges that specifically form below the buttocks and the inner thigh are banana roll fat bulges. Banana rolls hinder individuals to get their ideal shape.
There are simply fat areas that can’t be eliminated with the traditional methods, which means that drastic measures are required to eliminate these. Good thing, there are treatments such as CoolSculpting to address unwanted fat bulges that aren’t as drastic as plastic surgery.
However, the CoolSculpting procedure is not for everyone so it’s important to consult with your plastic surgeon beforehand to know whether this treatment is the right option for you. Other body contouring procedures may be recommended for you such as laser treatment or plastic surgery to remove unwanted fat. In addition, if you have the following, then the CoolSculpting treatment isn’t for you:
Banana rolls are fat deposits below the buttocks, which are merely signs of excess fat build-up in the body. Compared to other fat areas, banana rolls don't necessarily entail being overweight. Instead, banana rolls are simply excess fat deposits that have accumulated due to the following:
Because banana rolls aren’t a direct result of overconsumption of calories, although food consumption habits and a sedentary lifestyle can still contribute to weight gain. This means that exercise and a balanced diet may still be insufficient in resolving these. This is why CoolSculpting may be a recommended procedure to address this issue.
CoolSculpting is a body contouring procedure that involves an FDA-approved fat-freezing technology to improve the appearance of lax tissue and freeze fat cells to remove stubborn fat. This procedure is safe and non-invasive in destroying stubborn fat cells.
A patient may opt for the more improved version of regular CoolSculpting such as CoolSculpting Elite to be used in eliminating stubborn pockets of fat or submental area treatments. Depending on your plastic surgeon’s recommendation, you may have CoolSculpting Elite instead of the regular CoolSculpting procedure. Consequently, CoolSculpting is now one of the most popular treatments to address banana rolls.
The procedures for CoolSculpting work by using a special device will be used to freeze fat cells to death using controlled cooling technology so that they will be gone for good. CoolSculpting treatments work by targeting stubborn pockets of fat using a special fat-freezing device, which can be used in the buttocks.
The fat cells are suctioned and exposed to intense cold temperatures to destroy them. The treated fat cells will then be metabolized and eliminated from the body. You may also experience different kinds of sensations such as mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, cramping, and pulling at the treated area during the procedure.
As the treatment progresses, the treated area becomes numb so any uncomfortable and painful sensations wouldn’t be felt as well. Additionally, the treatment procedure takes about 35 to 60 minutes to complete a single CoolSculpting session.
The results of banana rolls vary depending on the efficiency of the device used, as well as the expertise of the aesthetic provider overseeing the procedure. After the recommended number of CoolSculpting session treatments, you will get slimmer and more appealing thighs while enjoying satisfaction from experiencing the ideal shape of your buttocks.
The number of CoolSculpting sessions depends on your need for it as recommended by an aesthetic provider. Sometimes a single treatment isn’t sufficient to kill the fat cells in a treatment area so it may take multiple treatment sessions to achieve your ideal body shape. In addition, you may see visible results within 2 to 3 weeks following the CoolSculpting session.
CoolSculpting is a non-invasive and safe treatment to eliminate excess body fat, however, it’s still subject to risks and side effects. Some of the expected temporary side effects that a patient may feel during the course of their treatment are:
The risk of complications is 0.01% to 0.1%, meaning they occur in 1 to 10 out of 10,000 individuals that had CoolSculpting treatment. Visible enlargement of the treatment area is a rare side effect of CoolSculpting work that doesn’t resolve on its own but can still be addressed and corrected using plastic surgery.
For more effective CoolSculpting results, make sure that you get enough rest and fluids after the treatment session. Sufficient resting periods allow your body to recover faster from the treatment procedure. Additionally, staying hydrated aids your lymphatic system in flushing away the dead fat cells after the treatment procedure. Keeping away from the following also helps enhance results:
Banana rolls often hinder you to achieve your target shape even with exercise and a healthy diet. But with CoolSculpting, it doesn’t have to be that way for long. CoolSculpting eliminates the pockets of fat that have accumulated through time, including banana rolls. For effective treatment sessions, only seek the services of a med spa with state-of-the-art equipment and credible aesthetic providers.

Up to 25% Fat Reduction With CoolSculpting: Treat Yourself Today!
Removing unwanted fat isn’t always about being overweight, which means that some conventional methods such as exercising and eating healthy won’t always work. It also doesn’t automatically entail that plastic surgery is the only way to eliminate fat – there are many kinds of minimally invasive and non-invasive body contouring treatment procedures for fat removal, some of which are laser lipo and CoolSculpting.
So what’s the difference between laser lipo and CoolSculpting? Laser lipo is a minimally invasive body contouring procedure that involves a minor operation using a laser to eliminate fat cells under the skin, while CoolSculpting is a non-invasive body contouring treatment procedure that involves a cooling applicator to destroy fat cells by freezing them. In order to choose between these fat loss treatments, it's important to consult with a qualified aesthetician.
Up to 25% Fat Reduction With CoolSculpting: Treat Yourself Today!
CoolSculpting and laser liposuction are both fat reduction treatment procedures to eliminate unwanted fat. These fat removal treatments differ in many aspects such as the equipment used to destroy every fat cell, but their treatment areas are basically the same. The treatment areas for both CoolSculpting and laser liposuction are:
Laser liposuction and CoolSculpting are treatments that can both be performed in a doctor’s office with or without general anesthesia. These treatment procedures differ in a number of aspects in their procedure, which must be well-understood by a patient before choosing or agreeing to undergo these procedures.
CoolSculpting (i.e, cryolipolysis) is a nonsurgical fat reduction procedure that uses suction technology to direct unwanted fat cells in a certain area and expose them to extremely cold temperatures using a cooling applicator.
At first, a patient may feel mild discomfort due to the very cold temperature that their skin is exposed to, but with controlled cooling technology, the skin will eventually adapt and feel numb as the treatment progresses. Additionally, CoolSculpting takes approximately 35 to 60 minutes per treatment area.
In contrast, laser lipo (i.e, laser lipolysis) is a laser-assisted liposuction procedure that reduces fat by using laser energy to melt the fat under the skin and eliminate it. A small incision will be made on the skin surface and a tiny laser needle will be inserted to liquefy the fat. Then, a cannula will be inserted to suck the melted fat underneath the skin. In addition, this laser treatment takes about 1 hour per treatment area to finish the laser liposuction treatment.
CoolSculpting is more effective when it’s used to improve body shape, but laser lipo is more effective as a weight loss procedure because of the efficiency of removing body fat cells from the body faster than CoolSculpting. CoolSculpting is recommended for those who have stubborn body fat that can’t be eliminated with diet or exercise.
On the other hand, laser liposuction can also be applicable as a fat reduction or fat loss treatment only to a certain extent. Laser lipo may be more recommended for people who have excess fat and weight than CoolSculpting, but both fat reduction treatments aren’t weight loss treatment procedures.
This means that neither of the treatments is intended to remove large volumes of unwanted fat. Instead, both are merely body contouring treatment procedures that involve fat reduction techniques.
Body contouring treatment procedures aren’t limited to CoolSculpting and laser liposuction. A patient can also have body sculpting, tummy tuck, or fat transfer procedures to eliminate stubborn fat or allow for a more effective fat loss treatment.
Both CoolSculpting and laser lipo allow a patient to experience permanent results. However, these treatments work to merely eliminate fat. This means that it can’t guarantee that new fat cells wouldn’t be formed if you live an unhealthy lifestyle. So it’s important to still maintain healthy lifestyle practices such as exercise and diet to maintain the results of these treatments.
Additionally, results from laser lipo are more immediate than CoolSculpting. Depending on your own body’s response to the treatment, it may take several weeks and several treatment sessions for results from CoolSculpting to become noticeable.
It may take a while to see the results from CoolSculpting work because the frozen fat cells that are destroyed still stay within the body after the treatment procedure. These are metabolized and processed by the body over a period of about 2 months.
CoolSculpting and laser lipo are equally effective treatments that differ in certain aspects. While both of them are non-surgical, laser lipo can be minimally invasive while CoolSculpting is non-invasive at all. Notwithstanding this, both treatment procedures still make individuals susceptible to certain risks and side effects.
But since laser liposuction is a minor surgical procedure, it may carry more risks and side effects than CoolSculpting. In fact, laser lipo may be similar to traditional liposuction in terms of its adverse effects, but these may occur on a smaller scale. The following may be experienced after laser liposuction:
CoolSculpting still has side effects even if it’s a non-invasive procedure. Although rare, CoolSculpting also puts the patient at risk for paradoxical adipose hyperplasia which results in the fat cells becoming bigger in the treated area. In addition, a patient may feel different kinds of sensations during and after the treatment which are normally expected. The common side effects of CoolSculpting include:
Compared to cosmetic surgery, both fat reduction procedures allow a patient to experience minimal downtime and a fast recovery period. But because laser lipo is more invasive than CoolSculpting, it may require a longer period of downtime than the latter. CoolSculpting has no downtime and you may return to your normal routine for the day right after your treatment session.
Laser lipo costs range from approximately $2,500 to $5,450 while a CoolSculpting procedure ranges on average from $2,000 to $4,000. This means that laser lipo costs are greater than CoolSculpting. Both treatments can be expensive, but they are definitely worth it. Ask your aesthetic provider for flexible payment options such as installment payments so you can afford these treatments in a safe and effective manner.
CoolSculpting and laser liposuction are equally effective procedures, but they still differ in many significant aspects. Illustrated in the table below are the differences between the 2 kinds of fat reduction treatment procedures.
Treatment Considerations | Laser Liposuction | CoolSculpting |
Equipment Used | Laser energy and Cannula | Fat freezing technology (i.e, cooling applicator and suction technology) |
Treatment Objective | Fat melting | Fat freezing |
Procedure | Minimally invasive minor surgery | Non-invasive treatment |
Pain Experienced | Mild discomfort after the treatment procedure | Mild discomfort for the first 5 to 10 minutes of the procedure. |
Length of treatment sessions | 1 hour | 30 to 60 minutes |
Treatment Results | Permanent immediate results | Permanent results that are visible within 2 to 4 months following the treatment session |
Recovery Period and Downtime | 2 to 4 days following the treatment procedure | N/A |
Treatment Cost | $2,500 to $4,500 | $2,000 to $4,000 |
Laser liposuction and CoolSculpting are treatments that are effective on their own, but CoolSculpting can be combined with laser liposuction for more visible and dramatic results. Undergoing those treatments will result in a slimmer and more toned appearance. If you’re interested in combining both treatments, inform your plastic surgeon so they can recommend the right treatment plan that best suits your aesthetic needs.
CoolSculpting and laser liposuction differ in their extensiveness, but both are generally effective. However, if you prefer a procedure that has the most minimal risks and side effects, then CoolSculpting may be recommended for you. To get the best out of your treatment while reducing the likelihood of adverse effects, only consult and seek the services of a qualified aesthetic provider.

Up to 25% Fat Reduction With CoolSculpting: Treat Yourself Today!
Body contouring treatments involve fat removal procedures, which can leave behind sagging skin. The loose skin left behind on treated areas after fat reduction procedures is often a point of concern for a patient, especially if they go through non-surgical procedures that don't involve removing excess skin, such as CoolSculpting (i.e, cryolipolysis). However, there are some patients that report skin tightening after their CoolSculpting procedure.
So does CoolSculpting tighten the skin? CoolSculpting works by destroying fat cells by freezing them and then allowing them to be metabolized by the body, which means that skin tightening is in no way related to it. But since the number of individuals reporting such added benefits of CoolSculpting is consistent, the theories explaining the skin tightening benefits of CoolSculpting may be worth taking note of.
Up to 25% Fat Reduction With CoolSculpting: Treat Yourself Today!
Skin tightening isn’t an intended purpose of CoolSculpting or its improved version, CoolSculpting Elite. Improving skin laxity is merely an added benefit that comes with having this body contouring treatment procedure.
Not every patient experiences skin tightening after their CoolSculpting procedure, which is why there are still insufficient data to declare that CoolSculpting tightens skin. Despite this, the number of patients experiencing improvements in skin laxity remains constant and consistent.
CoolSculpting is a body contouring treatment procedure that involves fat-freezing equipment to effectively remove excess fat that can’t be eliminated by mere exercise and a healthy diet. There may be reasons behind the entire CoolSculpting process that may help to explain why it can result in skin tightening for some patients who had the procedure.
Fat-freezing non-invasive treatments like CoolSculpting work by using a suction technology to direct fat in a single area where the cold temperature is concentrated using a cooling applicator. The intensely cold temperature causes the fat cells to expand and the fat cell walls to burst, destroying the fat cells.
The fat cells will undergo a reaction process called lipolysis, which involves destroying and thawing the frozen fat cells so they become liquified. The liquified fat cells are eventually absorbed by the body and excreted in its waste system.
There are numerous theories behind the cases of skin tightening benefits of CoolSculpting treatment. First, some claim that because the effects of CoolSculpting develop gradually over time, then the skin has sufficient time to adjust. As the body processes the unwanted fat cells away from itself, the skin reverts to its original position around the slimmer body contour.
On the other hand, some claim that the concentrated cold temperatures around a treatment area result in accelerated collagen production. The stimulated new collagen production is theorized to address skin laxity and improve skin texture as it results in skin firmness, skin elasticity, and skin flexibility in the treated area.
Most people prefer to have CoolSculpting treatment because of its non-invasive and quick fat removal procedure. Skin tightening is merely an added benefit of CoolSculpting. The actual and proven benefits of CoolSculpting include the following:
The CoolSculpting treatment may involve many sessions before results become noticeable, but unlike other treatments, the results of this non-invasive procedure in the treated area are permanent. The fat cells are permanently destroyed and removed from the body, which results in a lesser risk of gaining back the weight.
Procedures like CoolSculpting tighten the skin in certain instances, however, it’s not FDA-approved to be used for this purpose. Instead, the intended results of CoolSculpting involve fat reduction for a patient who has a healthy weight but is struggling to achieve their target shape.
This means that CoolSculpting doesn’t deal with weight loss. If you’re looking for a treatment procedure to eliminate excess weight, then other treatments such as body contouring plastic surgery, body sculpting, tummy tuck, laser treatment, and different kinds of liposuction (e.g, laser liposuction) may be more suitable for you. Having a healthy lifestyle is also still recommended despite the existence of fat reduction treatment procedures.
Skin tightening is an added benefit of CoolSculpting that occurs only in some patients. This doesn’t occur to everyone and there’s no guarantee that you’ll experience that effect. To ensure that you achieve your ideal shape through CoolSculpting, combining other treatment procedures for tightening loose skin would have more definite benefits.
One of the recommended treatments to complement CoolSculpting is Thermage. Other people think that Thermage and CoolSculpting are similar, but they actually differ in their intended purpose for the treatment. CoolSculpting freezes unwanted fat cells to remove stubborn fat deposits while Thermage works by tightening loose skin or saggy skin in the treated area.
Depending on your aesthetic provider’s recommendation, you can use CoolSculpting to eliminate excess body fat and then use Thermage to tighten your skin. The results that are expected when these 2 procedures are combined are more dramatic than when you expect too much of CoolSculpting other than its intended purpose to reduce fat.
CoolSculpting results in fat reduction for a patient with a healthy weight. This treatment doesn’t involve skin tightening, but some patients can experience these results. Some individuals experience skin tightening after CoolSculpting because of the technology and procedure involved during the treatment. For the best results and complementary treatments to combine with CoolSculpting, consult with the best plastic surgeon.

One of the reasons why people opt to have non-surgical fat reduction procedures, such as CoolSculpting, is because of their minimal risk. Compared to having plastic surgery, the downtime and recovery period is shorter and there’s a greater guarantee of reversible adverse effects. However, that doesn’t mean that non-invasive treatments like CoolSculpting are completely free from side effects.
So what are the expected side effects of CoolSculpting? In general, the side effects that are expected from CoolSculpting are minimal, which may include feeling painful or aching sensations, skin hypersensitivity, and manifestations of temporary irritation. The severe adverse reaction of the procedure is paradoxical adipose hyperplasia where the frozen fat cells increase in size, but these are rare, and the benefits of CoolSculpting have proven to outweigh its risks.
Up to 25% Fat Reduction With CoolSculpting: Treat Yourself Today!
Non-invasive body contouring procedures are synonymous with having “minimal risk” instead of “no risk”. It’s impossible for any kind of procedure to be risk-free, especially since each individual body reacts differently to a procedure, equipment, and technology used for a treatment. The following are some of the common and expected CoolSculpting side effects:
As the CoolSculpting procedure starts, you will feel slight discomfort as the CoolSculpting applicator applies controlled cooling to the subcutaneous fat underneath the skin. Then as the treatment progresses, you’ll feel numb from the extremely cold temperature, but you’ll start to experience the following different kinds of sensations around the treatment area as a CoolSculpting side effect:
Slight pain and aching may be felt around the treated area during and after the CoolSculpting treatment. Aside from that, extremely cold sensations will also be experienced as a common side effect because of the exposure to cool temperatures.
Due to the cold temperature that the skin has been exposed to, CoolSculpting patients may have extremely sensitive skin in the treated area that’s susceptible to skin irritations. These usually resolve on their own within weeks, but it’s best to know that the CoolSculpting treatment will result in the following:
If you’re already vulnerable to skin irritation before your CoolSculpting treatment session, you should consult with a plastic surgeon or health care provider to disclose your medical history and confirm if CoolSculpting is the right cosmetic treatment for you. Consequently, you should also prepare yourself for the risks of the cosmetic procedure if you have the following:
A rare side effect of CoolSculpting is paradoxical adipose hyperplasia, which is a severe condition. Fat freezing in treatments like CoolSculpting works by causing fat cells to expand using cool temperatures, which will then burst and the dead fat cells will be absorbed by the body. However, there are cases where the frozen fat cells in the treatment area merely increase in size.
The exact reason why this CoolSculpting risk occurs is still unknown. In addition, it’s common for this to occur in a CoolSculpting procedure in a male patient. Despite its severity, it’s more of a cosmetic side effect than a physically dangerous one. This is also reversible and corrected using liposuction or other dermatological surgery methods.
After your CoolSculpting treatment session, you can immediately return to your daily normal activities immediately. There are instances when the expected side effects are treated after the cosmetic procedure, which typically subside sometime within a few weeks. So there’s little to no downtime after CoolSculpting, and the recovery period is shorter compared to other methods such as dermatological surgery, laser treatment, or liposuction.
The intended results for CoolSculpting and even CoolSculpting Elite aren’t always achieved after a single session. Depending on how your body reacts to the cosmetic treatment and metabolizes dead fat cells, sometimes it takes multiple sessions to achieve the intended result of CoolSculpting. Similarly, if you want to target a different area in the body, you may also have more CoolSculpting treatment sessions.
In addition, multiple treatment sessions don’t entail that more unwanted fat will be eliminated so the CoolSculpting procedure is only applicable to people who have excess weight. Generally, this treatment is a fat-loss cosmetic procedure that won’t work on individuals who have obesity.
CoolSculpting treatment is only applicable to patients who have a healthy weight but stubborn unwanted fat deposits that can’t be eliminated by simply living a healthy lifestyle. CoolSculpting is merely a complementary cosmetic treatment to regular exercise and a healthy diet, but in no way does this replace both.
CoolSculpting treatment is a fat-freezing procedure designed to eliminate stubborn unwanted fat cells, which can cause different kinds of side effects and adverse reactions depending on how the body responds to the treatment procedure.
To minimize CoolSculpting side effects and achieve a faster recovery period so your ideal shape can be noticeable in no time, it’s important to take note of the following aftercare instructions following your CoolSculpting treatment session:
Taking note of the CoolSculpting side effects and following the aftercare instructions aren’t the only ways to get the best out of your treatment session. Other than the factors mentioned, you can already ensure the effectiveness of your CoolSculpting treatment by doing the following:
Unlike other treatments, preparing for CoolSculpting doesn’t require much, but it’s essential to make sure that your body is in healthy condition to have the treatment and that you’ve already discussed all your important medical information with your plastic surgeon. You must ensure the following to sufficiently prepare for the CoolSculpting treatment session:
CoolSculpting is for fat removal of stubborn pockets of unwanted fat that can’t be eliminated with exercise and healthy food consumption, which means that it’s not a weight loss regimen. In addition, you can still develop unwanted fat deposits after your treatment session.
So living a healthy lifestyle is still an essential element to avoid excess fat deposits in the future. To get the best out of your fat loss treatment, switch to healthy choices and options. It’s essential to start doing the following:
The purpose of CoolSculpting treatment is to eliminate excess fat deposits, so it’s not intended to tighten or smoothen skin. While some CoolSculpting patients report the skin tightening benefits of CoolSculpting, the number of CoolSculpting patients experiencing this is still insignificant. Thus, it’s still insufficient to conclude that CoolSculpting leads to skin tightening.
To ensure that you achieve the best results from the CoolSculpting treatment, trying out treatment options that are complementary to it is essential. One of the most popular treatment options to combine with CoolSculpting is Thermage, which has skin-tightening benefits. In addition, you can also consult with an aesthetician or a med spa if other treatments such as laser skin resurfacing are applicable to you.
The best advice to ensure that you get the best out of your CoolSculpting treatment is to look for a qualified aesthetic provider whose expertise has been proven with countless testimonials and positive reviews. It’s also essential to check out the equipment they use to ensure CoolSculpting safety and effectiveness. At the end of the day, the effectiveness and efficiency of the treatment rest in the hands of a trusted aesthetician and their med spa team.
CoolSculpting treatment is a body contouring procedure that involves a non-invasive fat-freezing treatment procedure. Unlike other cosmetic treatments, CoolSculpting side effects are minimal and its serious adverse reaction is reversible. To ensure that you get the best out of your CoolSculpting treatment session, only seek the best aesthetic provider.

Up to 25% Fat Reduction With CoolSculpting: Treat Yourself Today!
There are a lot of non-invasive body contouring procedures on the market and it can be unclear which of these treatments can be best for your current needs. Treatments like EMSculpt and CoolSculpting are constantly pitted against each other for what may be seemingly the same effect but their differences are quite wide.
So how do you decide between EMSculpt or CoolSculpting? Though they both provide a measure of fat reduction, these treatments have different purposes. EMSculpt uses electromagnetic technology to induce muscle contraction for muscle definition while CoolSculpting treatment entails freezing the treated areas to damage the fat cells in it. While they have different purposes and technologies, they can be done in a single session.
Up to 25% Fat Reduction With CoolSculpting: Treat Yourself Today!
Learning about the subtleties and swathing differences between an EMSculpt treatment and CoolSculpting treatment can help you achieve your body sculpting goals with fat reduction as a benefit.
EMSculpt is a device that can actually tone muscles in just a few treatment sessions. The machine uses electromagnetic technology to cause your muscles to contract more than in your average workout session. This will cause the fat cells in the treated area to break down immensely and rapidly. This will help build and refine muscle mass while providing fat reduction as the treatment area adapts to muscle contraction.
CoolSculpting is designed primarily with fat reduction in mind. The treatment targets stubborn fat that couldn’t be slimmed down through conventional needs. Through freezing fat cells, body contouring is able to provide substantial fat reduction across wide areas of the body. With less unwanted fat, the muscles in the body can be more visible after treatment.
Since they have different primary functions, they also have distinct technologies that provide their benefits. EMSculpt sends electronic magnetic pulses to the treated areas to induce supramaximal contraction—intense energy and vibration that are more than the muscles can handle. This is done in a safe and comfortable manner with patients describing the treatment as a “pulling” sensation.
Likewise, CoolSculpting also implements seemingly drastic measures in a safe and effective manner to target stubborn fat cells. It uses the phenomenon of cryolipolysis—damaging unwanted fat cells to the point of death so that they can be safely deposited by the body’s lymphatic system. The freezing temperatures will only target the fat cells and not any other part of the skin.
The treatment areas each machine can handle depend on the nature of the machine and what the FDA has approved. CoolSculpting can sufficiently target stubborn fat in more viable treatment areas like the:
Meanwhile, EMSculpt can only treat a select number of treatment areas due to the design of the machine. The FDA has approved the following areas as the application needs an ample amount of muscle to properly induce contractions in the following areas:
Both these non-invasive treatments have attested zero to minimal pain during the procedure and no downtime, unlike other means of plastic surgery and fat reduction. However, the experience of the procedure and the downtime can differ for others, especially if you have sensitive skin or muscle. Doctors are well-knowledge of the machine and can adjust their effects for you.
EMSculpt could be comparable to using a gym machine to work the targeted muscle. Through safe amounts of induced muscle contractions, patients report no complications or intense side effects after the treatment outside of muscle soreness that's akin to tiredness after a workout. Thus, the most discomfort a patient can feel is similar to exercise.
Meanwhile, CoolSculpting uses cold temperatures that may have other side effects, particularly on the skin. Numbness, tingling, and soreness are common sensations associated with the treatment and are also part of the potential side effects along with redness, itching, and bruising. However, the discomfort of the procedure is minimal and any discomfort afterward can be immediately treated.
The technology and designs of the machine and the expectations of the patient are the main factors for the total amount of treatment time. EMSculpt machines are shorter, with an average of 30 minutes for each body part. However, you will need a minimum of 4 treatments, at 2 to 3 days intervals, for the best body sculpting results. In total, an EMSculpt treatment session takes about a week and a half to complete.
CoolSculpting is the opposite as it needs a single treatment or two for its complete fat reduction benefits. However, the machine can only treat one part at a time with the session taking about 30 minutes to an hour. A single treatment session can last around 3 hours depending on how much work needs to be done.
EMSculpt provides more benefits than CoolSculpting on the account of its direct muscle-building function while providing fat reduction. Those taking EMSculpt will notice their results after 3 to 4 weeks after treatment and can be redone to maintain its effects. The average results can be about 19% of fat reduction and 16% of muscle growth. On the appearance side, it can definitely help your muscles look bigger and toned, though that benefit only lasts for a few months.
On the other hand, CoolSculpting provides permanent fat reduction results at a wider range with about an average of 22% reduced fat. The treatment can remove any sort of unwanted fat, big or small, in any part of the approved list of treatment areas. Though it may not provide you with a defined muscle look, it can definitely take away wide areas of stubborn fat to let any previous muscle growth shine.

Results | A well-defined muscle area with less fat. Muscle definition only lasts a few months. | A sizable fat reduction that allows appearance for muscles |
It's important to note that both of these treatments are for fat reduction, not weight loss. Hence, ideal patients should be close to their ideal BMI, in good health, and be in decent physical shape. At the minimum, candidates should have at least one inch of pinchable subcutaneous fat.
However, CoolSculpting can be done with those who are a bit higher or overweight than their ideal BMI as it is designed to take away large amounts of stubborn fat cells. It can also treat more areas than EMSculpt that are otherwise hard to slim down with exercise.
The most deciding factor between choosing EMSculpt or CoolSculpting is your body type and expectations. If you need more body sculpting toward the muscle and you’re already close to your ideal figure, EMSculpt can help fast track. Meanwhile, if you need to focus on reducing fat in more stubborn areas, CoolSculpting is for you.
Yes, EMSculpt can be done after CoolSculpting if a desired amount of muscle growth wants to be highlighted with the extra amount of fat reduction. They can be done on the same day if your medical provider has both machines available. Be aware of the time commitment it takes to finish the number of sessions for two body contouring treatments.
Whether you need to focus on fat reduction or to build more visible muscle growth, make sure that whatever treatment you choose meets your needs and expectations. If you plan not to undergo both treatments in the same session, ensure that your medical provider is knowledgeable about both procedures and has the most recent equipment.
At NJ Center for CoolSculpting, we can handle all your body contouring needs. With our excellent CoolSculpting service and our experience with 10,000 successful treatments, we can help you reduce any stubborn fat. Get your dream body and book an appointment with us online.

Though they achieve the same things, discerning the differences of these two body contouring treatments will achieve the body you want while getting the most bang for your buck, especially considering their comfort and effects compared to traditional liposuction.
These are the differences between the SculpSure treatment and the CoolSculpting treatment.
SculpSure sheds off extra fat cells by applying heat with laser technology. The machine is placed in the treated area and emits heat to irrecoverably damage the fat cells. The dead fat cells will then be naturally flushed through the lymphatic system. This technology allows for more accurate fat reduction in the treatment areas.
On the other hand, the CoolSculpting procedure does the opposite of the SculpSure treatment. Instead of direct heat, the machine uses a combination of vacuum and cryo technology to freeze fat cells till they are crystallized. Again, the fat reduction treatment is safe and does not harm the other parts of the skin. The frozen fat cells will be digested by the lymphatic system and leave the treated area—creating smooth and thin skin in the treated area.
Both these treatments can cover a wide range of areas Some popular treatment areas include love handles, the inner thigh, the outer thigh, the chin, the abdomen or abs, arms, and the love handles or the flanks on the hips.
Though SculpSure is a slightly more precise procedure, the FDA has approved a wider range of treatment areas for CoolSculpting work like bra rolls and underbust rolls for breast augmentation, ankles, fat pads in the knees, the underarms, and the suprapubic pouch. However, SculpSure can work on various treatment areas simultaneously while CoolSculpting needs to be done in one treated area at a time.
As mentioned earlier, due to the coverage of the machine, SculpSure has a faster treatment time than CoolSculpting. However, the exact duration of the treatment comes down to the amount of body contouring needed and the number of treated areas.
CoolSculpting treatments vary between 25 minutes to an hour depending on how much work is needed to be done. The machine only works one treated area at a time. Meanwhile, SculpSure only takes about half an hour on average as up to four treated areas can be completed. However, CoolSculpting Elite, an upgraded form of the CoolSculpting machine, has this same feature—cutting down the overall treatment time to 30 minutes.
With a fat reduction procedure, it's important to know if your body has the appropriate qualities for the treatment to prevent any unwanted complications. Both body contouring treatments, it's best done with patients with an average physical physique and good health with stubborn fat pads or areas in their body. They are not weight loss procedures, its design is made with shedding off stubborn fat areas in mind.
For SculpSure, patients with a BMI under 30.5 are ideal candidates. The SculpSure treatment is best suited for those who have even layers of fat across their entire body that can be equally targeted by its laser technology.
Meanwhile, CoolSculpting works best with large bulges or pads of stubborn fat. Hence, it can work with patients who may be considered overweight as long as they meet the other general standards stated above. The treatment can reduce much more excess fat compared to other similar procedures.
Given the application of extreme temperatures and energy in the skin, there are expected side effects that may occur after the treatment. However, it's much less intense than other fat reduction treatments like liposuction. The likelihood of these side effects can lower given with the expertise and knowledge of the medical provider. The differences in the side effects lies in their technology.
SculpSure, aside from common side effects like redness, swelling, soreness and other marks, may cause bruising, scarring, and baggy skin. CoolSculpting, on the other hand, may cause numbness, stiffness, itching, stinging, sensitive skin, and paradoxical adipose hyperplasia—a very rare side effect where the treatment does the opposite of fat reduction.
Given the differing technology of these two body contouring treatments, the results develop and finish differently. SculpSure takes about 6 weeks to complete as the treated area removes all the dead fat cells and the skin adjusts to the fat reduction. About 24% of the targeted excess fat is reduced but the actual results vary from patient.
CoolSculpting has about the same percentage at a more consistent rate with results showing after 10 to 20 weeks and peaking within 3 to 6 months. Given that CoolSculpting can accommodate more areas of excess fat and is substantiated by various research data, it can be a more effective fat reduction treatment for your needs.

Despite their listed differences, their non-invasive nature isn't the only similarity between these two body contouring treatments. Listed below are the similarities between SculpSure and CoolSculpting.
Once the stubborn fat cells are damaged and flushed out of the body, their absence on the skin won’t return at all. However, new fat cells can occupy the treated area. It’s best to keep a good weight loss routine to maintain the results of the fat reduction treatment.
To complement its non-invasive procedures, the treatment has no extensive downtime. Of course, as with any treatment, ample amounts of rest and comfortable clothing to be worn before and after treatment are recommended to let the treated area breathe and to observe any side effects.
They have similar listed fat reduction results with 20 to 25% an average, with the exact amount depending on the patient. However, as stated before, the results and their effects on the skin differ between the treatments. .
Even with different procedures, technology, and target area, the cost of these two body contouring treatments are about the same or with minimal difference. The cost is dependent on the number of needed treatment areas and how the machine can accommodate them. However, more often than not, it's about the same price for the entire operation.
Though they have their similarities and differences, the most important thing for you is to consider how the excess fat rests in your skin, your body weight, and where your treatment areas are.
If you need a treatment that can finally remove the persistent excess fat pads or slabs that no exercise or diet can get out of, CoolSculpting is the way to go. However, if there’s a uniform layer of stubborn fat found in the abdominal area that needs a precise reduction, consider SculpSure.
With precise laser technology, SculpSure can get rid of any stubborn fat or hidden folds that weren't able to be smoothed out by CoolSculpting. However, with the slow development of the results from CoolSculpting work, it's recommended to wait about 2 months before moving ahead with SculpSure. Try exercising or another diet to burn off the excess fat before committing to another treatment.
Body contouring may seem like a big risk at first but various papers of data and thousands of happy clients have attested to its wondrous effects. However, it's always best to have a certified medical provider and aesthetician to lead the body contouring treatment to ensure you get its promised benefits without any adverse events.

Up to 25% Fat Reduction With CoolSculpting: Treat Yourself Today!
The hips are a central part of your body shape. Though it can be toned down with a good weight loss program, there are some stubborn fat deposits that rest on the side of the hips, best known as love handles. If it hasn’t shrunken from conventional means, using a non-invasive fat reduction treatment like CoolSculpting is the best way to tone these flanks down without any long-lasting marks.
So does CoolSculpting help slim down love handles? Yes, it can — in fact, love handles are one of the most popular treated areas. With controlled cooling, CoolSculpting technology can directly freeze the stubborn fat cells in the target area. Within 2 weeks after the treatment, your body will start flushing out the frozen fat cells from your body, eventually slimming down the love handles.
Up to 25% Fat Reduction With CoolSculpting: Treat Yourself Today!
CoolSculpting uses cryolipolysis—the freezing of fat cells to reduce the excess fat in the treated area. The CoolSculpting Applicator uses a combination of cooling and vacuum technology to safely crystallize the fat cells. The lymphatic system of the body will start digesting these fat cells and move them out of the treated area—leaving slim and fat-free hips.
The treatment doesn’t need any anesthesia or prior injections. The doctor will place a gel pad before placing the machine on your love handles. You may experience slight discomfort or a numbing sensation during the CoolSculpting treatment but it is also minimal.
Once the treatment is finished, your flanks may look like a stick of butter. This is expected as the doctor will massage the treated area immediately to allow the lymphatic system to begin digesting the frozen fat cells. While it may be uncomfortable to look at, it’s just a temporary and expected side effect that can be resolved with more massage sessions.
The results will take a while to develop as the body needs ample time to digest all the frozen fat cells in the treated area. Some patients report that they can see a slight shrinkage right after the 3 weeks after treatment, but for some, it can take up to 3 months for results to show. After that, the treated love handles will continue to slim down until the body has processed the remaining frozen fat cells.
Most patients only need 2 sessions to fully treat their love handles — one for each side. Some may opt to continue requesting treatments for aggressive results. A premium option called CoolSculpting Elite can be considered instead of multiple treatments for a bigger fat reduction.
Each session can take about 30 to 45 minutes each, depending on how large your love handles are. Since each side of the love handle must be treated, an entire session for the love handles may take about an hour. Though it may seem long, you can still do anything while the machine works like use your phone, read, and listen to music.
The CoolSculpting treatment doesn’t require any downtime. You’re free to do other activities right after the procedure, just remember to monitor for any of the recorded side effects. Consult your doctor if any side effects persist for more than two weeks.
CoolSculpting’s fat-freezing technology is FDA-approved for a variety of viable treatment areas. If any of these areas have stubborn fat cells that have not been able to be reduced by physical activity, they can be treated to body contouring by fat-freezing technology.
A double chin is one of the most common areas that are treated by CoolsSculpting work. Even if it's close to the face, the same low to zero pain levels and no downtime is expected. It takes about 35 minutes to treat.
The areas around the best, for both men and women, can be treated for unwanted fat cells. Whether it’s for “man boobs”, breast augmentation, or any fat layers under the boobs, it takes about 1 to 3 hours to treat body fat.
Fat removal can also be done for the arms. Excess fat cells can be stored in the underarm and the upper arm and can still remain even after muscle growth. An average of 35 minutes on each arm is all it takes to properly treat.
Fat rolls and body fat are the only obstacles to well-defined abs. Though the muscles might be there, the fat on top of it may be blocking their appearance. It may also be the culprit for flank fullness. Depending on the size of the stomach, it will take 30 to 60 minutes to treat.
A leg day in the gym can be extremely difficult, but when it still doesn’t change the shape of the thighs it can be subjected to fat freezing. Just like having treatment for each side of the flank, it will take a collective hour to freeze both thighs.
It's important to note that CoolSculpting and other non-invasive body contouring techniques are fat reduction procedures, not weight loss treatments. All patients should be in good health and are close to their ideal BMI before undergoing treatment. CoolSculpting is designed with stubborn fat in mind.
In detail, patients must have at least one inch of subcutaneous fat. The best way to test this is if it's pinchable, jiggly, and feels as if it's just below the surface of the skin. They must also not be in surgery or recently out of it, not pregnant, and do not have any skin conditions that interfere with fat freezing.
As with any treatment, there are noted side effects that occur. Most of them are treatable at home and don’t impede any results from the CoolSculpting treatment. If any side effects persist after 2 weeks or grow to an intense level, consult your doctor immediately. The most common side effects include:
Diarrhea is also a common side effect because of the digested fat cells in the treated area. It may persist for the first few weeks after CoolSculpting as a side effect of the treatment. It passes as results continue to develop.
The area from the CoolSculpting treatment may look like a sore thumb but it will continue to thin with time and rest. However, it can be sped up and side effects can pass with effective aftercare steps that can be done at home.
As stated before, massaging the flank can help jumpstart the lymphatic system’s responsibilities to flush out the frozen fat cells. It takes a specific message to properly handle the treated area so consult your doctor on the proper technique for it.
Inducing a comfortable measure of heat through a compress in the treated flank can help reintroduce blood flow, reduce bruising, swelling, and other side effects, and help boost the metabolism in the treated area.
Foods that are high in sugars, carbs, and salts may disrupt the lymphatic system’s ability to digest frozen fat cells. Going over your body’s daily calorie limit may also produce more fat cells which may lessen the effects of CoolSculpting. Maintain your usual physical activity and diet to see how CoolSculpting work has refined your body’s love handles.
Love handles can be a sight for sore eyes if it can’t even go away with the toughest of exercises. However, with the comforting and effective technology of CoolSculpting, even the most resistant flanks can be slimmed down to finally let the shapes of your hips show. Whether it’s a sizable muffin top or flanks that don’t seem to respond to any diet, a knowledgeable medical provider can bring the best out of your natural shape with CoolSculpting results.
At NJ Center for CoolSculpting, your love handles can be properly slimmed down with our CoolSculpting expertise. Any complications or uneasy side effects can be swept away with our top-of-the-line CoolSculpting procedure. Get started on achieving the body of your dreams and call us at (908) 628-1070 today.
Up to 25% Fat Reduction With CoolSculpting: Treat Yourself Today!
The CoolSculpting world was in for a shock when in September 2021, Fendi supermodel Linda Evangelista sued Zeltiq Aesthetics, the creators of the treatment. She cites that her CoolSculpting treatment from 2015 to 2016 had left her disfigured, leaving her in a deep depression as she could not work in her condition. In July 2022, the 50$ lawsuit ended in a settlement between the two parties with Evangelista returning to her modeling career.
So why did she sue CoolSculpting? Linda Evangelista has been diagnosed with paradoxical adipose hyperplasia—a very rare side effect where fat cells grow instead of shrink from the CoolSculpting treatment. Her reason for suing was she wasn’t properly informed of the side effects but Zeltiq’s legal team defended that she signed the paperwork acknowledging the risk. As of writing, the CoolSculpting case resulted in a settlement of undisclosed amounts.
Up to 25% Fat Reduction With CoolSculpting: Treat Yourself Today!
Linda Evangelista received CoolSculpting treatments from August 2015 to February 2016 to do some body contouring in her chin, abdomen, back, bra area, flanks, and thighs. Instead of fat reduction, the procedure gave her hard bulges in the treated area. She tried corrective liposuction surgery twice in 2016 and than in 2017 with minimal success.
She began her hiatus in the modeling industry in 2016. She would later reveal she suffered a “cycle of deep depression”, profound sadness, and severe emotional distress due to the body disfigurement that the treatment gave her. This eventually began her CoolSculpting lawsuit as sued Zeltiq Aesthetics in September 2021 for damages to her body and her career.
Rolling Stone reported on the details of the case stating that Linda Evangelista and her legal team sued for damages due to the company’s inability to properly warn her of paradoxical adipose hyperplasia—the rare side effect that disrupted her life. Financial documents state that the company was aware of its existence since 2013 but fail to indicate its possibility.
In their defense, Zeltiq Aesthetics presented documents and paperwork Ms. Evangelista signed that showed they did their responsibility to inform her of the risk of paradoxical adipose hyperplasia. They also refused her claim that the marketing material for the CoolSculpting procedure and their incapacity to mention paradoxical adipose hyperplasia is adequate material for a lawsuit. They filed for dismissal of the CoolSculpting lawsuit in December.
Eventually, on July 20, 2022, Linda Evangelista posted on her Instagram that she had settled the CoolSculpting case. She was able to join the runway on Fendi’s 25th anniversary of the Fendi Baguette in New York City, nearly one year since she sued the CoolSculpting company.
The model reported that her numerous CoolSculpting treatments left her “brutally disfigured” across the various treated areas. While the treatment was supposed to slim down fatty tissue, the cosmetic procedure resulted in thick bulges that left her unable to model comfortably in the catwalk. Her attempts at corrective liposuction were unable to fully treat the lasting effects of paradoxical adipose hyperplasia.
This rare side effect is the opposite of the promised benefits of CoolSculpting. The procedure uses fat-freezing technology to damage fat cells in the target area without harming the skin or other parts of the body. If the patient has paradoxical adipose hyperplasia, it means that their fat cells grew instead of shrinking from the cold.
A 2014 study from JAMA Dermatol reported on paradoxical adipose hyperplasia has an incidence rate of 0.0051% from over 650,00 treatments. According to data from the manufacturer from 2020, the side effect was listed to occur in 1 in about 20,000 treated patients with a 0.025 incidence rate. Though it may be rising, there is more research being done to prevent this side effect and treat it with more precise liposuction.
This CoolSculpting lawsuit is one of many that have been reported. Though there are certain cases, the procedure is still considered safe and effective by many satisfied customers. Take note of these steps to have a smooth and comfortable fat-freezing procedure.
CoolSculpting is not a weight loss option but a fat reduction for stubborn fat in the body. Ideal CoolSculpting patients should be in the range of their ideal BMI, have one inch of pinchable subcutaneous fat, and be in good physical shape.
Though CoolSculpting is safe on the skin, it's best to take care of it before it undergoes the procedure. Avoid tanning, extensive exposure to the sun, and other skin-damaging practices well within a week before the CoolSculpting treatment.
Foods that can help the body’s lymphatic system digest the frozen fat cells and not impede like leafy green vegetables, and fruits, and are high in Omega-3s. Though the fat reduction benefits of CoolSculpting are permanent, the fat in the treated area may be regained with an improper diet.
Paradoxical adipose hyperplasia can be a life-changing side effect but recent innovations in CoolSculpting technology and updated medical expertise has considerably lowered its likelihood. When looking into the wonders of the CoolSculpting treatment, always ensure that your medical provider is completely knowledgeable about the treatment and can assess any risk factors specific to you.
At the NJ Center for CoolSculpting, we have the know-how to circumvent and prevent any adverse events that come with this low-risk procedure. Our team of experts is ready to help you every step of the way. Get that sculpted body you’ve always wanted and book an appointment with us online today.
Up to 25% Fat Reduction With CoolSculpting: Treat Yourself Today!
Although liposuction is still the standard for body enhancements and fat removal, a lot of people are thinking twice about getting cosmetic surgery due to its potential risks and complications. When it comes to nonsurgical body contouring procedures, CoolSculpting is rapidly becoming a popular choice of treatment. It requires zero downtime and only has a few side effects that are easily manageable.
So how common is swelling in the treatment area after getting chin CoolSculpting? Swelling is one of the usual side effects of a CoolSculpting procedure. It happens as a result of suctioning the fatty tissue into the applicator. It’s a normal bodily response to the treatment and can persist for several days up to weeks. It can subside on its own but if it causes any discomfort, you massage the swollen area for a few days.
Up to 25% Fat Reduction With CoolSculpting: Treat Yourself Today!
When CoolSculpting was launched and received its FDA approval in 2010, it completely changed the game for body contouring and fat reduction with its use of cryolipolysis technology. Individuals who want to get rid of their unwanted fat without undergoing invasive reconstructive surgery can opt for CoolSculpting.
CoolSculpting is a versatile treatment and one of the common areas where it’s done is the submental region or double chin. Excess fat in the double chin or under the neck is specifically hard to lose because it doesn’t go away with simple diet and exercise. It can also look worse if you have moderate skin laxity. With CoolSculpting, you can conveniently freeze your double chin fat away and provide minor skin tightening with few side effects.
As with any cosmetic procedure, CoolSculpting can also cause swelling as an immediate side effect after the treatment. Studies have already shown that CoolSculpting is safe and poses no risk for adverse events. However, there are several reasons why swelling occurs after a CoolSculpting treatment session on the double chin:
There are different kinds of CoolSculpting machines designed for the removal of visible fat bulges in specific areas of the body. Each applicator has a unique feature and can either have a flat surface or a cup design. When treating double chin or neck fat, providers use the handheld CoolSculpting Mini applicator.
The CoolMini device perfectly targets the area under the chin, neck, and jawline with its small cup design. It uses a suction mechanism and pulls the tissues into the cup to deliver controlled cooling into the targeted fat cells. During the treatment, you’ll feel sensations of tugging or pinching as the skin is pulled into the cup.
After several minutes of cooling the double chin fat, you’ll notice a frozen bulge (known as the stick of butter effect) which is typically massaged away. However, some swelling may still be visible as a result of the vacuuming effect of the applicator.
When you undergo a CoolSculpting treatment, the excess fat cells in the targeted area are frozen to their death and as an immune response, the body sends macrophages to the site. These macrophages aid in the elimination of dead fat cells which in turn causes temporary inflammation and swelling in the treated area.
The magic behind CoolSculpting lies in the principle of cryolipolysis or fat freezing. It’s believed that fat cells are more vulnerable to cold temperatures than any other tissues or cells in the body. Exposing them to an intense cold as low as -11°C will lead to their death which then triggers the elimination process via the body’s lymphatic system.
A CoolSculpting session for double chin fat removal is simple and doesn’t require any prior preparation. However, an initial consultation with your provider is required to discuss your goals and manage your expectations about the treatment.
Here’s an overview of the CoolSculpting procedure for double chin removal:
Fortunately, swelling isn’t a serious side effect of CoolSculpting and it’s usually short-lived. Most CoolSculpting patients can expect their swelling to subside within 24 to 48 hours after the treatment. It’s also possible to experience swelling for up to 2 to 4 weeks as the body heals and eliminates the treated fat cells.
During your CoolSculpting recovery period, it’s best to follow aftercare practices and monitor your condition. If it persists, contact your CoolSculpting provider or doctor as soon as possible.
Although it’s a temporary side effect that resolves on its own, swelling after a fat freezing treatment can be uncomfortable. Not to mention, it may slow down your recovery and take you longer to see your CoolSculpting results. Fortunately, there are some ways you can speed up healing from swelling. Here are some tips to reduce post-CoolSculpting swelling and inflammation:
While CoolSculpting is nothing like liposuction and other surgical treatments for body contouring and fat reduction, there are still some discomfort and side effects that may occur after the treatment. Here are some of the possible side effects that you may experience after CoolSculpting:
CoolSculpting is one of the various nonsurgical options that you have for removing double chin fat. Another popular choice is the Kybella treatment which involves the administration of a fat-melting solution directly to the double chin. This procedure is also approved by the FDA for submental fat treatment.
The way Kybella injection works is that it destroys the excess fat cells in the submental area. It also prevents the cells from storing more fat in the chin region. This treatment comes with its own share of side effects such as injection site pain, redness, swelling, firmness, itching, and bruising.
If you’re looking for more dramatic chin fat removal and contouring results, you can choose to get combination treatments from your trusted medical spa. Although CoolSculpting is already an excellent procedure on its own, getting Kybella may provide additional enhancements to your initial results.
If you want a combination treatment, CoolSculpting may be done first to reduce the fat layer on your double chin. You can expect to have at least 2 to 3 treatment sessions for your initial CoolSculpting procedure. You’ll then wait at least 3 to 6 months before consulting your provider about Kybella injections.
Your med spa team will assess the improvements on your double chin before recommending how many injections you’d need to get. Receiving Kybella may help address the remaining fat cells that weren’t treated or removed from your prior CoolSculpting procedure.
Having a double chin is one of the sources of insecurity for many individuals. It shows up along with significant weight gain, but it doesn’t go away with simple workouts and diet changes. But with CoolSculpting, you can get rid of unwanted chin fat conveniently and without serious side effects or risks. At most, post-treatment swelling will only last for a few days to weeks before subsiding on its own and revealing a contoured and slimmer chin.
